Erin has been involved with SVAS since 2002, first as an advocate and donor followed by joining the board in 2007. She has been involved in the non-profit arena for 20 years,starting with flying inner city Los Angeles kids in a United plane decorated like the North Pole to give a Holiday experience these kids would never get at home. In the last 5 years Erin has been a member on various boards in the Wood River Valley. Prior to her SVAS Board commitment and the Executive Director position Erin flew for United Airlines where she retired as a Boeing 767 captain after 19 years of service. Erin’s aviation career spand 3 decades starting as a flight instructor in Santa Monica , Ca. to racing P-51 Mustangs, then finally retiring from United Airlines in 2004. She graduated from UCLA with a degree in psychology. Erin has lived in Ketchum for 25 years. Her passions outside of Sun Valley Adaptive Sports/HigherGround are her husband and their 3 children, volunteering at the kids ski races, running , scuba diving, traveling, giving forward and hiking around this incredible valley in which we live. Most importantly I am thrilled and honored to move forward with a great staff and board to carry out the mission and vision for Sun Valley Adaptive Sports.
